Presidency tasks youths on terrorism

A senior aide of President Goodluck
Jonathan,Comrade Jude Imagwe, has advised
Nigerian youths to rise against the scourge of
terrorism, as their future depends on peaceful co-
existence of Nigerians, irrespective of faith and race.
The President's Senior Special Assistant on Youth and
Student Matters made the call in a statement issued
on Tuesday, in Abuja. He charged youths and student
leaders to rise and defend the integrity of the nation,
as latest development has "exceeded all bounds of
rationale and measure.
"The time has come for all true stakeholders in the
Nigerian project to rise against the menace of
terrorism," he said, affirming that, "if Nigerian
youths and students could rescue Nigeria from the
hands of the military, surely, they can rescue her
from the hands of the terrorists."
Comrade Imagwe, who lamented the consequences
of terrorism on Nigeria, further listed three steps
Nigerian youths are to take to rescue the nation from
terrorism, adding, "we must prepare ourselves
intellectually and spiritually, by jointly imbibing the
codes of truth, until we can no longer be divided by
bizarre logic of religious and ethnic jingoism.
"We must take possession of government's
transformation agenda authoritatively; and within its
confines, define Nigeria in the nearest future. We
must courageously proceed to the second phase of
our battle plan, which is to get the leaders on our
side," he said.
