Federal High Court Seize Olusegun Obasanjo's Book "My Watch"

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has appealed against the order given by a Federal Capital Territory High Court judge, Justice Valentine Ashi, that security agents, including the police and men of the Department of State Service, should confiscate his latest autobiography, My Watch.

The judge had given this order after the ex-president went ahead on Tuesday in Lagos to present the book to the public, in disobedience to the court’s restraining injunction.

Justice Ashi also gave the former president a 21-day ultimatum to explain why he should not be punished for flouting the court order.

However, Obasanjo, in his appeal, argued that he was in no way “daring the court” as widely reported by some national newspapers, describing such publication as misleading.

Nigeria’s leading beer brand, STAR has commenced the building of the largest bottle tree in the world made with 3000 beer bottles at Eko Atlantic Bar Beach Stretch, Victoria Island, venue of the much anticipated Lagos Countdown 2014.
The STAR Bottle Tree will stand, as an iconic landmark shining on into the New Year 2015.
A first of its kind in the country, the Star Tree symbolizes the greatness of the Nigerian spirit personified by Star Lager, the country's first indigenous beer brand.
The Star Tree, when finished will break the current World Record of 1000 beer bottles being held by the Chinese in the city of Shanghai for being the first tree made with 3000 beer bottles.
Fans and lovers of innovation were not left out in the process of building the Tree as they submitted empty bottles for the record-breaking feat.
