Dangote Group intend To Create Over 160,000 Jobs through Agriculture

The Dangote Group has made known its intention to create about 160, 000 jobs in Kogi state through agriculture.

This was stated during a delegation led by the technical adviser to the President of the company Engineer Joseph Makoju, to brief the Governor of the state, Governor Idris Wada on plans to putting up a sugar factory.

Revealing that the project will commence this November, in his speech, he said Kogi is one of the seven states in the country where the company hopes to establish sugar factories. He further went ahead to say that the company’s investment in agriculture is aimed at creating jobs and wealth, as well as assist in the transformation agenda of the federal and state governments.

Governor Idris Wada in his response assured the Dangote Group of the necessary support, adding that land has been acquired for the project.
