Following the success of the GenVoices Telethon in January and the wide reception of the initiative in London, the UK Chapter of GenVoices will be holding its first GenTalks event this Friday the 6th of June 2014 in London at Greenwich University. Under the GenVoices UK banner, young Nigerians from across the UK will be gathering to discuss entrepreneurship and the current security challenge in Nigeria and how this affects the new Nigeria we desire.
GenTalks is the conversational space created by the Generational Voices Movement to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge thereby warehousing critical information that drive the core objective of the movement. These talks speak to the core objectives of GenVoices, which is to foster global and local dialogues to create benchmarks for the kind of leaders we desire, as well as harnessing the strengths and talents of our generation for national problem-solving.
The chosen theme for the night is “The Future of Entrepreneurship in the New Nigeria. GenVoices recognizes that the growth of a nation is heavily reliant on the entrepreneurial spirit of its citizens” says Sheun David-Onamusi, UK Chapter Leader. It is no doubt that Africa is rising and Nigeria is central to its rise. The evening promises to be a gathering of some of the brightest Nigerian minds.
GenVoices UK will be hosting Seun Onigbinde (a well recognized tech-entrepreneur and founder of Budgit) as well as Chude Jidenwo (M.D of Ynaija and The Future Awards) at the first GenTalks event.
If you live in London, or have friends who do, you should register to attend the event via eventbrite at the link: http://t.co/Zs2gXIyBTw
