Kilode!!! Policemen Leave Emir of Kano’s palace

According to reports, the police security detail which has surrounded the Emir of Kano’s palace since the naming of a new Emir has been withdrawn.

The contingent was said to have included some officers from Abuja and neighbouring Jigawa as well as some from Kano.

The officers were said to have been deployed to the palace to prevent the entry into it of the newly appointed Emir, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

However, an inside source has said that the security detail was there to guard the palace and not prevent the Emir from entering.
