A man in police custody was arrested after accidentally feeding his 11-month-old baby son methamphetamine off his thumb – causing a seizure.
24-year-old Christopher Telles is being held on suspicion of child abuse after the infant ingested the drug when his father put his thumb in his son’s mouth to stop him crying.
Telles told police he was trying to calm the baby down and his thumb had methamphetamine on it.
According to Daily Mail, Court records show Telles brought the infant to a Maricopa County hospital on April 27.
The then 11-week-old boy was suffering from what appeared to be seizures after ingesting the drug.
Telles was arrested Wednesday. It was unclear Thursday if he has a lawyer yet for his case.
