Winners of the maiden edition of the youth-oriented fashion competition, Fayrouz L’Original, Team Elan have been selected as one of the designers who will showcase their designs at the Lagod Design Fashion Week billed to kick off on October 29 to November 1, 2014.
The team who emerged victorious at the competition and went home with 20,000 US dollars and various fashion opportunities will strut their designs on the LDFW runway alongside major designers like Okunoren Twins, Jewel by Lisa, Lanre Da silva, Maki Oh among many others.
Senior brand manager, Fayrouz, Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson commented on the great achievement, “We are so excited about this great opportunity for Team Elan… Fayrouz L’Original is focused on creating these kind of opportunities for young and talented designers to showcase their designs. With a huge platform like LDFW where they will be noticed by international designers and fashion moguls, Team Elan is rapidly reaching greater heights. Kicking off on Wednesday 29th October, Lagos Design Fashion Week is a fashion event, which creates a platform for African designers to showcase their collections annually and seek out various opportunities for designers within Nigeria and beyond.
The fashion event, which is sponsored by premium soft drink, Fayrouz will also offer some new elements with the LFDW Fashion Focus replacing the LFDW Young Designer of the Year Competition.
