After two coups and several riots, the country's military hierarchy has been turned upside down and no leader is recognised by all. Two ex-colleagues disagree over who should lead the military and hence the country?
Is war inevitable? A national conference is called but abandoned after more riots. A nation is perched on the precipice and the leaders scramble to dialogue. Yet, no location within the country is considered safe by all sides.
The newly installed military leader in Ghana comes to the nation's rescue. He offers a meeting venue that all sides consider safe. A date is confirmed and all leaders convene. The outcome will either make or break a nation. Watch Aburi '67 to find out what happened and if the issues discussed still resonate in today's Nigeria.
A stage performance based on the Aburi Accord of 1967, developed through improvisation ... told with music, dance and drama.
